Help raise money for our school library!

McKinley Readathon
November 2007

After many years of neglect, the McKinley Elementary School Library has been getting a make-over. This is our second annual Readathon, and the money we raise will be used to purchase new library books and new chairs for the library. The children and the teachers have been compiling lists of books they want us to buy for the library collection. Our goal: to have the most beautiful, enticing, well-stocked school library in the district.

Here's how the Readathon works:
During the first two weeks of November, students keep a reading log of the books they read and time spent reading. Family and friends "sponsor" children, donating a certain amount for each minute/hour read. You can also choose to sponsor a child for a flat amount. Donations for the 2007 Readathon can be sent in after November 15th. You may donate cash, pay by check (payable to "McKinley Elementary PTA") or pay online by credit card or paypal.
